PAC-Led Fundraising Initiatives
Our energetic and enthusiastic group of parent volunteers has done some fantastic work on PAC-led fundraising efforts with creative offerings for the dining tables and gardens, and tummies of the community. Of course, also stepping up to help are our local businesses: Still Creek Press for donating printed vinyl banners designed by Jermaine Kwok; and Blue Spruce Montessori School and Daycare who paid for the printing of our Jermaine Kwok-designed poster (substantially discounted for us by Staples on Grandview Hwy) and delivered mostly by Windermere students to over 2000 homes in the area. Now that’s coordination!
Here’s a quick re-cap of the fundraising events and results so far…
Purdy’s Chocolates: A BC favourite, Purdy’s Chocolates, were sold in a fundraising effort and as expected, sold out fast and generated $800 in sweet funds towards the Windermere Fitness Park.
Growing Smiles Plant Sales: The Growing Smiles fundraiser raised over $1,000! Thanks you all for your support!
Epicure Spice Kits: The Weeknight Dinner Seasoning Collection Kit sold for just $25, and $10 of every kit purchased went directly towards the fitness park raising $300!
NEW! Global Coffee Fundraiser: Under way right now at www.globalcoffeefundraising.ca/windermere. Buy with our custom roasted organic ethically sourced coffee and help build a fitness park with the proceeds.
Banners placed around the perimeter of the school: As of this past Friday, May 7, public information banners were positioned at key points around the perimeter of the school. We hope these banners, complete with QR codes linking to more information, will help generate interest and donations from the local community. The vinyl banners were designed by Jermaine Kwok with printing donated by Still Creek Press, whose kind support has been so amazing and saved us a lot of $!!
Here’s are a couple of pics of the new banners in place around the preimtere of the school. These banners are at 27th and Lillooet Street.
